When does chorus meet?

Chorus meets up to twice a week during the school day as part of the 
student's schedule.

Can a student be in both chorus and band?

Yes. If a student is in both chorus and band the student will have one 
rehearsal a week for band and one for chorus.

Is participation in a concert a mandatory part of being in chorus?

Yes.  If a student is unable to attend the concert, the student should bring a
signed letter from the parent or guardian stating the reason why a student is
missing the concert no later than 2 weeks prior to the concert date. See next
question for student's additional responsibility.

If a student has an excused absence from a concert what must the student do?

If a student has been excused from a concert the student will complete a 1
page typed paper on a music topic of their choice due by the date of the
concert. Failure to complete the paper will result in a drop of one full
letter for the student's grade.

What if an emergency arises the day of the concert?

If an emergency arises and a student will not be able to participate, please
leave a voice mail message or an e-mail message prior to the concert. Please
also have the student bring a signed letter to school upon their return.
