Mrs. Duffy has a B.A. in English from the University of Massachusetts and an
M.S. in Library and Information Science from Simmons College. She reads as
many of the books in the library as she can, and enjoys discussing them with
Trottier students.
The Trottier Middle School Library supports and complements the instructional
program and strives to meet the independent reading needs of students,
providing a variety of print and non-print materials, services and equipment
for the use of teachers and students. Among the goals of the school library
program are
• To provide materials and programs that will stimulate growth in factual
knowledge, literary appreciation, aesthetic values, and ethical standards.
• To teach students to access and use information to make intelligent
judgments in their daily lives.
• To encourage students to read for information and pleasure.
