Mission For The Class

My classes are all heavily based on discussions. Students should come to class
prepared to participate positively in all classroom discussions and
activities. By the end of the year, students should
feel confident in their ability to express their opinions orally and in
writing. Students should also understand and be able to articulate how an
author's writing style impacts his/her work and how this in turn impacts the
reader. The Humanities course expands upon this concept as students learn not
only how to analyze literature, but they become critics of films and paintings
as well.

Students must take responsibility for their own learning. If students
encounter any difficulty with their work, it is expected that students come to
the teacher directly to discuss their concerns.
