New to TIP!

There are many new and exciting aspects to the T-I-P programming this year!

  • You will be able to sign up for a TIP course as a "team" if you elect to do so. For example, a team may consist of a classroom teacher, a reading specialist, an ELL teacher and an instructional assistant.
  • The full Professional Development days will include time to work on a TIP project.

    10/6 - half day PD (TIP 1:00 - 2:30)

    11/2 - full PD day (TIP 12:30 - 2:30)1/18, 3/14 - full PD days with 2 hours of instructional time in the morning (10:30 - 12:30) and 1 1/4 hours of project time in the afternoon (1:15 - 2:30)
  • We encourage staff to think about developing projects which may result from the new technology you will begin to use and (if you are taking a TIP course as part of a team) how the individual team members can contribute to the development of this project.

  • We are planning a 21st Century Teaching and Learning Celebration in the spring where students will have an opportunity to display some of the projects they have completed and posted on websites, wiki spaces and blogs.

  • Some TIP courses may have restrictions, so please pay attention to these.
