This school year, '11/'12, is my thirteenth year with the Woburn Public
Schools and returning to the Reeves, having been on the Reeves staff from
9/99-6/02, then at the Linscott/Rumford, Goodyear, Wyman, Malcolm White, and
Shamrock Schools. Many years ago, before I left teaching to raise my family,
I taught in Haddonfield, NJ, Stoneham, MA, Philadelphia, PA and Los Angeles,
CA.
My husband and I, along with our dogs, Maggie and Lizzie, live in Lexington.
Our oldest, Peter, his wife Amy, five-year-old Jackson, two-year-old
Alexa, and one-year old Landon, live in Bedford. Next in line is Chris, who
lives in Hopkinton with his wife, Genny. Married on Father's Day, 2010 in
Ocean City, NJ, they are expecting their first child in January. Genny also
teaches third grade. The brothers, who are both Boston College graduates,
work together in the world they love, the hockey world. They coach midget
and Junior level Boston Junior Bruins' teams which play within the Eastern
Junior and Empire Hockey Leagues. They also originated the Beantown Classic
tournaments.
Our third child, Kristine, was graduated magna cum laude from Columbia
University, School of General Studies in May 2009. We are very proud of this
academic achievement, her induction into the School of General Studies and
Italian Honor Societies, and having received an award for excellence in
her major, Italian Cultural Studies. Kristine lives in Rome from September
thru June, where she teaches English to Italian adults, and in New York City
or Boston for the summer where she teaches English to Italian teens who come
for intensive coursework and a summer experience in the US.
Our youngest, Katy, a graduate of Elon University, NC, was awarded a Masters
Degreee from Northeastern University in May '09. She is an administrative
assistant in the Northeastern University Law School, Co-op Department. Katy
married Kyle O'Connor on September 17, 2006. They live in Bedford with their
daughter, Bridget. They traveled to Lurgan, Northern Ireland, this past June
to celebrate Bridget's first birthday with Kyle's family. They are also
expecting their another child in the Spring of 2012.
Our nest, therefore, is empty except for all the belongings our children left
with us, which we're trying to get them to take to their own attics,
basements and garages. This is a project that is moving very slowly!
I love to watch hockey and synchronized figure skating, and I also enjoy
reading mysteries. Tea, crunchy cookies and dark chocolate are favorites.
Red and blue are my favorite colors.
For all students: to increase skill levels, add to their knowledge base,
develop greater personal responsibility, maximize strengths, minimize
weaknesses, and enjoy their school journey!
