Dear Student,

My name is Mrs. Ekstrom and I will be your teacher for the 2011-2012 school
year.  I hope that you have had a wonderful summer.  We are very close to
beginning the new school year.  School this year will begin on Wednesday,
August 31, 2011.

I would like to take a few moments to tell you a little about myself. This
will be my tenth year teaching sixth grade at Whitin.  I teach Math and
Science to homerooms 208 and 209.  I am teamed with the famous Mr. Raymond. He
teaches Language Arts and Social Studies.  Mr. Raymond and I have been working
as a team since my Whitin journey began.

I have provided the desired school supplies for Mr. Raymond and myself below.
 Please feel free to email me if you have any trouble or questions with the list.

Notebooks (approx. 5 single subject) - feel free to use partially used
notebooks - lets save paper!
Pencils - LOTS OF THEM!
Highlighters
Markers
Colored Pencils
Hand held pencil sharpener
Erasers
Pens (black or blue ink only)
Index cards
Ruler
***Please make sure you are bringing pencils to math class!!!***
***Backpacks with wheels are not recommended because they do not fit into
student lockers***

I allow healthy snacks and water bottles in my morning classes as long as the
privilege is not taken advantage of.
