Week of May 28th, 2012
Reading: This week we will begin Reader's Theater. Our first play is The
Three Billy Goats.
Math: We are beginning to tell time on both a face clock and a digital
clock.
Spelling: Spelling words will come home on the first day of the week. We
will have a spelling test on each Friday of the week. See our Spelling City
link for games with our new words.
Writing: We continue to write stories. Many children have stories
published. I am digitizing our books, so you will have them on your computer.
I will send them to you at the end of first grade.
Social Studies: We are starting to talk about our own community and its
leaders.
Science: As we continue to learn about balance. We will be making zoomers.
Our second book report is due in June. Keep reading.
We have Academic Day on May 29th at 10:30 - 11:00.
We will walk to the DPW on Thrusday May 31 at 8:30AM.
