Classroom Allergy Information

 CLASSROOM ALLERGY INFORMATION
This year, 3-W is a dairy-restricted classroom.  Exposure to foods 
containing dairy products can cause a severe allergic  reaction for a child. 
This can happen instantly if foods containing dairy are ingested or even 
touched.  For this reason, please adhere to the following rules:

-Encourage your child to wash their hands after eating breakfast.
-Do not send foods containing dairy products (milk/cream, eggs, cheese,  
 butter, yogurt, ice cream, whey or casein) into the classroom.
-Please ask your child NOT to share their snack with classmates.

The following is a list of UNACCEPTABLE CLASSROOM SNACKS:
     Doritos of any kind
     Smartfood
     Goldfish
     cheese puffs/balls
     sour cream chips or crackers
     cheese and crackers
     yogurt
     string cheese
     cheese popcorn
     ANY food with a powdery residue

The following is a list of ACCEPTABLE snacks for our classroom:
     ALL fruits and vegetables
     Pop Tarts (without frosting): cinnamon, apple cinnamon, blueberry, 
        strawberry and french toast
     Sun Chips Original (not Harvest Cheddar)
     Barnum's Animal Crackers
     Wheat Thins (not Ranch)
     Bachman's Pretzels (not butter flavored)
     Rold Gold Pretzels (not Cheddar Twists)
     Tortilla chips (not Doritos)
     Boston's Popcorn: Light and Gourmet Super Premium (not Smart Food)
     Most potato chips, including Pringles (not sour cream and onion,     
        cheddar, ranch, or "the works")
     Fritos
     Teddy Grahams
     Triscuits
     Bachman's Pretzel Stix
     Wild Harvest Stoned Wheat Crackers
     Garden of Eatin' Baked Pita Chips
     Good Health Vegi Stix
     Nabisco 100-Calorie Snacks: Oreo Thin Crisps or Ritz Chips
     Old Cape Cod Oyster Crackers
     Back to Nature Graham Sticks: cinnamon and honey varieties
     Stop and Shop Graham Crackers: honey and cinnamon
