Podcasting

What is a podcast?

Podcasts get their name from a broadcast and an iPod combined. Think about listening to the radio and hearing your favorite songs being broadcast over the airways. A podcast is also broadcast but over the internet instead of the radio. You can find podcasts on many different subjects. If you have iTunes on your computer, visit the iTunes store and click on Podcasts on the left side. You can search or browse the podcast categories and find something you're interested in: they're free to download to your iPod! Also, you can subscribe to a series if you find something you REALLY like! That way, every time you visit iTunes, the latest podcast of your choice will automatically be waiting for you for free!! We'll be exploring podcasts found at iTunes as well as other places on the web before we begin to create our own!!
