Hé Ho!  It's Festival du Voyageur Week.  I took 2 of my grandchildren to Festival Park and when I asked my 6-year old grandson what he liked best he named 5 of the 6 things we did: riding on the horse driven cart, listening to violin and other instuments, making and eating 'la tire' (toffee), tobogganing down the slide, walking around the fort.  Our day was obviously a hit!

REMINDER;  PLEASE RETURN THE REPORT CARD INSERT WITH YOUR SIGNATURE.
In class, we have already made our homemade 'ceinture flèchée to wear at school.  I have moved our scheduled events from Tuesday to Thursday, February 23.  IT WILL BE OUR FESTIVAL DAY.  The students will have pancakes for lunch tomorrow. Please ensure that they have their beverage and desert.  After viewing the National Film Board film about the voyageur, we shall be doing a scavenger hunt through the school.  School square dancing will be in the afternoon at approx. 2:25 pm. You can come watch and see what your child has learned. If you read the web-site, e-mail me so I can phone parents who have not accessed the site today.  Thank-you.
The school fundraiser has begun today.  A note is going home.  You can order on-line until March 2.

If you know of someone who has a child who will turn 5 by year's end, please let them know about the Kindergarten Information evening on Monday, February 27.  The official registration is Wednesday, Feb. 29.
