FEBRUARY 5 FRIDAY:

SPANISH 2H: 
IF YOU WERE OUT:
Collected homework due today.
Worked on Current Work.
Try the first link Preterit Flashcard Games@Quizlet.  Among other things, 
there are two great games:
*Click on the bottom left box for SCATTER which is a game where you drag the 
words to their match.
*Click on the bottom right blue box for PLAY SPACE RACE which is a game 
where you type the word in before the clue word runs off the page.  Accented 
letters are in little boxes at the bottom of the screen to click on.
HOMEWORK:
Monday:
Test on preterit in context with unit 2B, and of course, other old 
vocabulary.
Wednesday:
Final test on unit 2B and este, ese, aquel in context.
IF ANY DAY IS CANCELLED NEXT WEEK, Day 1 back is Monday's test and Day 2 
back is Tuesday's test.

FRENCH 2H:

Practiced vocabulary of food and ordering in a restaurant under Current Work.
HOMEWORK:
MONDAY:
You need to have COLORED HIGHLIGHTERS OR COLORED PENCILS OR 
CRAYONS for HIGHLIGHTING (NOT UNDERLINING) the words that do not follow the 
normal form of masculine or feminine.
The words need to be highlighted (that is, covered, not underlined).  You 
may use whatever colors you want, but be consistent in masculine and 
feminine.  Yellow might not be good on your gold study sheet or on the next 
yellow one.
BY TUESDAY, choose and use some of your favorite, helpful study strategies 
to learn the harder vocabulary that was assigned Wed. and Thurs.

FEBRUARY 4 THURSDAY:

SPANISH 2H: 
IF YOU WERE OUT:
Collected the homework true/false sentences due yesterday.
Corrected the gold practice sheets from yesterday, so check with someone if 
you were not here.
Practiced the time expressions in the past.
The two harder ones are anoche = last night and anteayer= the day before 
yesterday (two days ago).  Youa already wrote anoche on your study sheet if 
you didn't know it.
HOMNEWORK:

*Text p 111 ex 14 #1, 2, 3 and WRITE SUBJECT in question and answer. We did 
this in class orally, so give some good thought to doing it correctly.

in the answer.WATCH for IRREGULAR YO forms.

Practiced the vocab of dishes and utensils.
Went over all the new vocabulary--see Homework.
Gave out yellow study sheet for the food vocabulary.  Just hold onto it till 
we need it.  We are still using the gold one.
HOMNEWORK:
By Tuesday BUT START TONIGHT with a good chunk.
Choose and use some of the study strategies from the list of such to help 
you learn all the harder vocabulary of the following lists on your gold 
study sheet:
1.ORDERING AT A CAFE AND SHOPPING FOR FOOD from above yesterday's words.
 2. LA NOURRITURE from under yesterday's vocabulary AND ONTO THE NEXT PAGE.
You do not need to write paragraphs to tell what you did.
Try to know as much by tomorrow so you can get more out of the lab practice.

Practiced all the past tense. 
Returned rough drafts.
*If rough draft not turned in, you can get 5/10 points for late.  But you 
must have turned in a rough draft to be allowed to do the final presentation.
* I only corrected the grammatical errors, not the content.  So check your 
guidelines and requirements.
*You must do the oral presentation for the project in order to get points.  
You cannot get points just for the written.
*Add more kicked up to French 2 Honors vocabulary if you have used a lot of 
cognates (either direct cognates or ones that look a lot like English) or 
English proper names or a lot of French I words like parler, danser, 
regarder, joli, grand, petit, etc.  YOu may use those words, but you need to 
add more.
*Gave rubric info:
--8 points picture
--7 points pronunciation
--15 points good vocabulary use (see above)
--15 points correct past tense pronunciation

*2 sentences need to be complex sentences (i.e., two clauses connected by

because those three make compound, not complex sentences.
*(Vary vocab as always)
*Do not use "was" in your sentences.
*If you wish to say "he went", it is "fue" or "fueron" plural.
*(Use vocabulary we have learned--refer to verb review sheet--can use words 
you hear on the video--don't do words you have to look up--looking for 
informational sentences with a lot of information as in honors classes).

in the preterit, two columns each verb, can skip Spanish subjects AND 
translate the yo form of each verb in the preterit into English.

skip the Spanish subjects if you wish.
Power points for the preterit of -AR verbs will be under Handouts.
