A Message from Mrs. Shrader...

Dear Families,

Welcome to Kindergarten at Carroll Lutheran School! I am looking
forward to working with you and your child this year! Throughout the year,
your child will be learning and experiencing many wonderful things! I am
excited to be your child’s teacher and feel blessed by God to have been
given this opportunity!

I believe my education and experience in Early Childhood and Elementary
Education benefits the Kindergarten program at Carroll Lutheran School. I
hold an Elementary Education degree from Towson University, have taken
several post-baccalaureate level courses, and currently hold a Maryland
State Certification in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education. My
teaching experience includes five years teaching here and nine years at
Little Friends of Grace Christian Preschool. I am always looking for ways to
improve my teaching ability and understanding of the young learner!

My teaching style is unique because I believe in challenging your
child wherever they may be academically while learning in a play-based
classroom. Of utmost importance is that your child grows to love learning, a
firm foundation for their future years of education!

Vital to your child’s success in Kindergarten is the home/school
connections that we can make throughout the year. Room parents, classroom and
“at home” volunteers, and classroom donations are all important parts to
making this year the best it can be! Your time and contributions are greatly
appreciated! Another important aspect to the home/school connection is open
communication between us. Please feel free to contact me with your questions
and concerns via a note, email or by contacting the school.

May this year to come be full of joy for all of us!
