We had a really great time at the field trip last Thursday. The children
were very well behaved and looked terrific in their classiest outfits.

Wednesday, The 31st is our division test. Your child should be able to
divide whole numbers by using mulitplication facts and/or using drawings.
I will send the grades home by Monday the 4th. Remember, I'm not sending the
books home, but I'm sending a letter with their score on it.
We will be studying plays in reading beginning on Wednesday. Read the play
with your child at home. Let them choose a part and try to act the lines.
On Tuesday, I will be collecting their reading books and passing out the
book that we will use for the remainder of the year. Please go through the
text with your child and erase any pencil marks, etc. Also, please carefully
remove the cover. Your child is responsible for taking care of this book and
we will charge you for a replacement if it is damaged or lost.
For Valentines day, I will let the children exchange cards and candies at
the end of the day. I am planning to keep it brief. I will send home a class
list so that you can make out the cards the evening before if you wish.
