Where is Miss Eubanks' room located? In the hallway right before the art room on the lower side of the building. When going down the main hallway towards the gym you will pass the media center on your left and the computer lab on your right. The next hallway on the right takes you directly to my room. Every Spring we offer testing for placement during the following year. If the child qualifies through testing they will be placed. If a child does not qualify, a Placement Review can be requested. For more information about this, please contact me. How does my child get into GT Content Area Middle School classes? Every Spring we offer testing for placement during the following year. If the child qualifies through testing they will be placed. If a child does not qualify for one or more classes, a Placement Review can be requested. For more information about this, please contact me. GT Math is a program for 4th and 5th grade students working 2 years above grade level. The students work 2 years above grade level and complete 2 years worth of material in one year. This way when they go on to middle school, they skip the middle school math classes and move on to high school level math classes. What are Curriculum Extension Units? Curriculum Extension Units are units that help to enrich the basic curriculum. Teachers nominate students to participate who have the talent, interest, and motivation in the subject matter being covered. Instructional Seminars are interest based courses that run for varying lengths of time. All students are encouraged to apply for the ones that they have the interest and motivation to participate. Usually these are held during lunch and recess times. Students eat their lunch in the GT Resource Room if that is the case.
