Teacher’s Comments
Our first big Quarterly Assessment is coming up. It is a county assessment,
not a school-based assessment. It will cover all the information we learned
in first quarter. Make sure to review notes, use the websites, review
homework assignments, and practice problems that help you in areas in which
you struggled.

**You Are Invited!** November 23rd, during conferences, I will be holding a
GT Testing Information Testing Session at 6:00 PM for about a half hour,
followed by a Question and Answer Session at 6:30 PM. As you know your child
is involved in the GT Testing process for middle school. The program changes
quite a bit in middle school, as do the offerings that the students are able
to participate. Each year this process and transition can confuse parents and
students, since it isn’t at all like elementary school. So, each year I hold
a GT Testing Information Session to help make this transition go more smoothly
and to alleviate stress. Please come to find out about the test, about the
results, what to do if your child doesn’t qualify, what to do if they do
qualify, and so much more. It makes it easier if we can share this one time
and answer all questions up front before you have time to worry! Please try
to come. Students are welcome to attend with their parents.
