Dear Parent/Guardian,

Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had time to relax and enjoy uninterrupted time with each other during the break.  I certainly enjoyed my break.

Just as a heads up: The return to school will mean complete focus for the rest of the quarter as students review and learn new skills.  Many of the skills in English were taught and practiced before the break, but will need refreshing.  The quarterly assessments for Science, English, Social Studies and Math will occur the week of January 18.  Please ask your child about the concepts or skills he/she needs more help with, and review them with him/her at home.  Do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher if more help is needed to master the skill.  We are here to help all of our children be successful.  Please let me know how I can help.
