What is Renaissance?

Renaissance is a nationwide program designed to motivate and encourage staff and students by rewarding academic excellence.  Brooke Grove recognizes and rewards students who excel in work study habits, attendance, and good character

Renaissance Cards

–      awarded each quarter

–      students receive a certificate

–      students’ names are displayed on the Renaissance board

–      students receive a pencil

–      students receive popcorn 1x a month

–      students go out to recess first each Friday that they have their cards  

100% Cards: Students who achieve all “I’s” (Independent) on their Learning Skills

80% Cards: Students who achieve 1 “L” (Limited Prompting) and the rest “I’s” on their Learning Skills

Eager Eagle

-       awarded each quarter

-       students receive a certificate

-       students receive a reward

-       students’ names are displayed on the Renaissance board

-      students receive popcorn 1x a month

Presented to students who have demonstrated improved Learning Skills throughout the previous marking period.  Students showed improvement in two areas without going down in any other area 

Good Character Award

-       awarded each month

-       students receive a certificate

-       students receive a pencil

-       student receive a free kids meal from Outback Steakhouse

-      students’ names are displayed on the Renaissance board

Presented to students who have demonstrated “good” character based on the monthly character trait

Attendance Award

-       awarded each quarter

-       students receive a certificate

-       students receive a pencil

-      students’ names are displayed on the Renaissance board

Presented to students who have demonstrated outstanding attendance throughout the previous marking period with zero absences and zero tardies 

Golden Apple Award

-       presented monthly to staff members

-       staff members receive a special designated parking spot for the month  

-      staff members’ name is displayed on the Renaissance board

Designed to recognize staff who have done an outstanding job.  Parents, students, and staff members can nominate staff to receive this award
