Expectations

To ensure that the classroom is a safe and inviting place for all class
members, you will be expected to be aware of and abide by classroom expectations.

1.	We are prepared and participate in class.
2.	We respect the rights of other’s space and property.
3.	We follow directions and perform duties as they are given.
4.	We are courteous in our communications and actions.
5.	We are on time and travel with an agenda book.


A.	Necessary Equipment 
    *   Your covered math textbook 
    *   Your Ellicott Mills Assignment Book
    *   2 sharpened pencils with erasers/1 correcting pen
    *   1 single subject spiral notebook 
    *   Graph paper notebook
    *   TI 83+ or TI 84 graphing calculator (for home use)
    *   Ruler, protractor, and compass (for home use)

B. 	Homework
    *   Homework will be assigned daily. 
    *   We build on math skills on a daily basis so homework is CRITICAL.    
          
    *   Homework must be completed in pencil and completed in the math spiral 
        notebook.
    *   Homework is 3 points.  Homework that is late will receive partial 
        credit.  Homework that is incomplete will not be graded until it is 
        completed.
    *   Homework MUST include:  date, assignment, written out directions, and 
        complete or attempted work for each problem assigned.
    *   Homework that does not follow the homework guidelines listed above   
        WILL be given parital credit.

C.	Assessments
    *   Quizzes are usually announced at least 1 day in advance, and tests
        are always announced at least 2 days in advance.  
    *   All tests and quizzes must be signed by your parent/guardian and
        gluded into your math spiral.  There will be study guides with most 
        tests.
