2011-2012 marks my 9th year at FQMS and my 11th year of teaching! I am
looking forward to the start of a brand new year. I can hardly believe that we
have been here that long! It seems like we just opened the building! This is a
terrific group of teachers, and I am proud to be a member of the sixth grade
team. You will find that we work closely together to create a cohesive
education for your child. Get ready!
When I'm not thinking, dreaming, and breathing school, I love to spend time
with my family, read a great book, or cook a good meal. My husband, an AP
American Government/AP Comparative Politics/Law and the Citizen teacher at
Marriotts Ridge High School, and I spend most of our time playing with our two
kids.

I am certified by the state of Maryland to teach grades 1 - 8 with additional
certification in Middle Level English (6 -8).
I hold a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction; emphasis in
Administration and Supervision. I also hold an Administrative I certificate.
MRS. AULT'S EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY:
I believe that it is my job as an educator to bring students to a place where
they are able to not only think critically, but become critical readers and
writers. I want my students to be able to talk about their own writing, set
writing goals, and learn to take risks in the classroom. Students will be
challenged and pushed to reach their highest potential in my class. All
children can write effectively and express their ideas in such a way that
invites others to participate in the experience. Welcome to the journey!
