describe, analyze, and interpret qualities of visual form
perceived and recorded in works of art.

The student will apply design principles to advance
feeling, ideas, and meaning in the production art work.

The student will use art vocabulary to describe and

Researching contextual information in conjunction with
the study of specific works of art.

The student will draw relationships between stylistic
choices artists make and the context which they work.

The student will create expresive works of art based on
the same subject or theme that are inspired by the unique
styles and forms of different artists.
Outcome IIIB Creative Expression and Production with an emphasis on
PROCESSES FOR IDEA DEVELOPMENT
(Expectation)
The student will create images that reflect knowledge of
various subjects from observation and imagination.
(Indicators of Learning)
The student will describe sources for artwork, ways ideas
were generated, how representational problems were
solved, the visual references used, how the work changed
from beginning to completion, and what was thought about
in the process of making the work.
Outcome IVC Aesthetics and Criticism with an emphasis on
ARTISTIC CHOICES LEADING TO PERSONAL STYLE AND MEANING
(Expectation)
The student will develop and refine a set of criteria for
judging art and apply to personal choices and strategies
in decision-making and art reproduction.
(Indicators of Learning)
The student will design a presentation of personal
artwork as a process portfolio to demonstrate a set of
criteria that reflects personal aesthetic choices.
