I am Ms. Wilkins. I was born and raised right here in Baltimore, Maryland. I
got my B.A. degree from Morgan State University, and I attended The Johns
Hopkins University for Graduate School. This is my 17th year in teaching.
Welcome to the class.
Welcome to Hammond High School. I am Mrs. Fukushima. This is going to be my
third year teaching here at Hammond. I moved here from the Poconos in
Pennsylvania. I have been teaching mathematics in the high school for four
years now. I am not only a teacher at Hammond, I am also the Class of 2011
sponsor.
I grew up in Rimersburg, Pennsylvania (a very small town outside of
Pittsburgh) and a dedicated Steelers fan. My uncle is my inspiration for
becoming a math teacher. He teaches in Knox, PA. My husband is in the army
and stationed at Fort Meade which is what brought us to the area. We just had
our first child this past May, a son we named Nathan.
I graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a Bachelor's Degree in
mathematics. I began my graduate work at East Stroudsburg University, where I
earned my teaching certification. Currently I am working on my Masters in
Integrating Technology into the classroom.
Please feel free to contact me anytime. You can email me by clicking the
email scroll on the homepage or call the school and leave a message. I look
forward to getting to know all of you. I am very excited to be here and look
forward to a great year.
