  • No late homework will be accepted after one day.
  • Homework missed due to absences is accepted up to the number of days missed after the student’s return to school.

Writing Journal

  • The writing journal contributes to a significant portion of the writing grade.
  • Your journal can be completed in a spiral notebook, composition book, other journal, or online using googledocs.
  • The writing journal is intended to develop your writing skills through practice and provide a creative outlet.
  • Some entries will have writing exercises and some will be free writing. (Additional prompts are available if you have difficulty getting started.)
  • You must write for at least 20 minutes for each of the 3 or 5 entries.
  • You must complete a writing log that your parent initials between turn in dates.
  • The turn in dates will be posted on the website throughout the year and announced in class.
  • You may turn in the writing journal early.
