How can I email you?
You can email me at my HCPSS email account. All email accounts for teachers
and staff are first name_last name@hcpss.org. So my email is
crystal_marshall@hcpss.org
You can also click the mailbox in the upper right corner of my home page or
look on the Harper's Choice website.
How quickly do you respond?
I try to respond within 24 hours. However, on non-school days (i.e. the
weekend) I don't check my email reguarly. If I haven't responded within two
days, please feel free to send a gentle reminder as I may have forgotten to
respond.
Can you send me daily emails about my child's progress?
As nice as this would be, I cannot guarantee I will be able to send email
updates to any parents. You are more than welcome to email asking for updates
to which I can respond. However, if you are curious about homework or other
class activities, checking this website is the best place to start.
What is the website for?
The general purpose of the website is to serve as an additional tool for
students and parents. It is not to be considered a primary source of
information. Students receive much more detailed information in class. Also,
it serves as a way to do extra credit.
Today's assignment wasn't listed. Does that mean there's no homework?
No. That usually means I have not had a chance to update the website. I try
to
update at least once a week. All students should be writing their homework in
their agenda books everyday. If a student is absent s/he can make the work up
upon return to school or email me for more information.
Why aren't all the worksheets available to download?
Only the worksheets created on the computer are available. Not all worksheets
are in digital format as of now. If a students loses a copy, s/he should
first
check the website, then check with me. As there are copy limits on all copies
made in schools, it is important students try not to lose worksheets.
What if I have a question about an assignment?
You can email, call, or speak to me in class. I will be glad to assist and
clarify for you before the due
date.
I'm getting emails about updates, but I don't want them. What can I do?
You can email me at crystal_marshall@hcpss.org and let me know. I'll take your
name off the list right
away.
I don't know my password to check my grades. What do I do?
If you do not remember your password, please ask me in class. I will be more
than happy to remind you.
Why aren't the assignments I turned in listed on my grade sheet?
The uploaded grade reports are not always the most recent entries. Please be
sure to check the last update stamp at the bottom of the login to see when it
was last uploaded. Any other questions about assignments can be addressed at
school.
Why are the dates different on my grade report than when we did them?
The dates listed for assignments on the online grade reports are when they
were entered into the electronic gradebook, not when they were completed. If
you have a missing assignment, refer to the title of the assignment and not
the date.
