This is my 7th year at Harper's Choice MS teaching Orchestra. I also teach Strings at Stevens Forest
Elementary School. I started playing the viola when I was in 4th grade and fell in love with it! My best
musical experience growing up was playing with a youth orchestra for 7 years. I got to play a lot of
great music, in some pretty cool concert halls in the area (I grew up in Northern Virginia) with some
amazing well-known conductors and soloists.
I went to the University of Maryland (GO TERPS!!!) where I did my undergraduate degree in Music
Education. I received my Master of Arts in Teaching degree through National University and have earn
National Board Certification. My husband is also a musician (percussion) and teaches at Howard
Community College. We have a daughter Isabelle, who loves Curious George, cheerios and watching the
Washington Nationals (GO NATS!!).
I love teaching Orchestra!
