Molly Brennan is originally from Mequon, Wisconsin.  She moved to Baltimore
to attend the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD in 1997.  Ms.
Brennan received her BFA in General Sculptural Studies in 2001 and her Masters
of Arts in Teaching in 2002 from MICA.  

This will be Ms. Brennan's 5th year at Howard High School, but her seventh
year teaching art.  She has also taught at Mount Hebron High School in
Ellicott City and at Calera High School in Calera, Alabama, where she lived
for 2 years.  She currently resides in Baltimore, MD with her two cats, Plinko
and Gris Gris, and her beagle, Lulah Mae Beables.

Ms. Brennan was named "New Art Teacher of the Year" for Howard County in 2007.

Mission For The Class

The National Art Education Association recommends a "program of art
instruction that integrades the study of aesthetics, art criticism, art
history, and art production.  In other words, students in Ms. Brennan's 
classes will be engaged in MAKING art, VIEWING and DISCUSSING art, READING 
and WRITING about art, and learning WHY art is created.
