About The Teacher

    I am very excited to be here at Howard High.  This will be my fifth 
year as a Lion.  I moved to the area from Pittsburgh in the Fall of 2006.  
My hobbies include playing golf, watching football, and traveling.  
    I love the challenge of mathematics.  I love being able to solve a 
problem and think in an abstract way.  I hope to pass my enthusiasm and 
interest of mathematics on to my students.  
    Ms. Jackelyn Lopez, an intern from Johns Hopkins University will be
working with me during the first semester of the school year.  Ms. Lopez
studied mechanical engineering at the University of Maryland and is now
working towards becoming a high school math teacher.
