NAME:
Mrs. Manger
SCHOOL:
Howard High School
CLASS:
Art I, Art II/Art II GT
I grew up on a small farm in the mountains of Western Maryland with some
horses and goats, both of which make awesome pets btw...Fort Hill is my high
school...go Sentinels!...and then onto Frostburg State University for
undergraduate...go Bobcats! At both high school and college I played french
horn in the band, was on the cross country team, and ran and high jumped for
track. After college, I taught art in Fairfax County for 6 years before
moving to Boston for 3 years where I got my MFA in Art Education at Boston
University while teaching for the Cambridge Public Schools.
I moved back to Maryland the summer of 2008, and have loved teaching at Howard
High since...go Lions!
When I'm not teaching, I generally like to keep busy doing lots of things a
little at a time...things like horseback riding, running, rock climbing,
swimming, biking, reading, going to concerts, cooking, traveling to new
places, and, of course, making, looking at, and learning about all kinds of
art!
