Goals Ms. Mundy's Reading Students are Working Towards

Read more challenging books
Enjoy reading ALL types of books (I will try something new)
Work on improving my reading rate without sacrificing comprehension
Read MORE OFTEN
Work on comprehension strategies to become an independent reader
Try to put vocabulary we learn to use
Be an ACTIVE, strategic reader - by NOT just reading the words!
To learn and use Greek and Latin prefixes & suffixes to help breakdown unknown words
To learn useful note taking strategies to effectively read from textbooks
To learn how to write a thorough, well-supported response to my reading
To utilize my OWN personalized set of reading strategies for different types of reading
To read at least 30 minutes a day to further improve my reading level and comprehension
