I was born in the tiny village of Williamsport on the banks of the
shimmering Susquehanna River in the Realm of Penn's Woods in the year
nineteen and sixty on my parent's anniversary. Since it had rained that day,
the banks were slippery, and I almost slid into the ribbon of water.
Fortunately, quick hands prevailed.
My schooling was accomplished through the Keepers of the High Knowledge in
the village where I was born. I showed an aptitude for things scientific and
had begun schooling in the Arts of Healing at the nearby village of
Huntingdon in the same Shire. This was not to be, as fate and my broad
experiences in Sport, Theater, and Ethereal Communication led me to join the
Brotherhood of the Keepers of the High Knowledge. It was here that all of
these talents could best be used.
My wife, Jacqueline the Most Fair, Duchess of Danbury, in the Shire whose
name, Quinnehtukqut, means, "beside the long tidal river," and I brought the
High Knowledge to the Grand City Dallas of the Shire Texas (a most hot,
grand, and sprawling place!) in nineteen and eighty-three. Seventeen years
spent I there disseminating the Knowledge at several schools and surrounding
villages before we moved to this wondrous Shire of Merry-Land in the year
two-thousand. A most happy place to be!
I also have four splendid children at home (Sarah, Matthew, Rachel, and
Jacob) along with Turtle, supposedly Sarah's cat, but she spends a lot of time
near me, and our newest addition, Sputnik, our adopted dog!
As you may have already surmised, I enjoy the Middle Ages. I also enjoy
reading, writing, science, strategy games, science fiction shows(such as
Eureka, Warehouse 13 etc.). I also enjoy all of
the CSI variants. Biking along the trails of southern Columbia is a favorite
activity, as is managing several fantasy sports teams(football and
baseball...especially baseball, though I have won our school league three out
of four years). My favorite animal is the wolf, which means
my favorite pet is the descendant - canis familiaris. I am looking forward to
having you learn more about me as I learn more about you!
It is my intention to run a hands-on room and have lots of fun! All children
can learn and be successful here. As the sign by my door used to read: "Free
Knowledge - Bring Your Own Container." (It faded; I need a new one.)The
students will get as much knowledge out of this room equal to the amount of
effort put into filling their container. Bring your container and be willing
to fill it! Enjoy! HUZZAH!
