Reminders and Announcements

The Week Ahead
Reading:
- This week, both groups will wrap up their units on Native American literature, learning about several more tribes and reading Native American legends.
Writing:
- We will work on grabbing the reader's attention with a bold beginning.
- We will be reviewing the grammar concepts we have worked on recently, including nouns/verbs, plurals, pronouns, and types of sentences. We will also be reviewing the spelling patterns we have worked on this month (long i & o)
- We will continue to practice our cursive handwriting.
Math:
- We will be reviewing and practicing the addition and subtraction concepts we have worked on, with an assessment on Tuesday.
History: We will continue to learn about daily life in Ancient Rome.
Geography: We will learn about the difference between physical and political maps.
P.E.P.: Countries in Europe will be assessed MONDAY, 11/30. This will be a written assessment (students will have a list of the countries). Results will be recorded in their PEP binders, so please make sure your child brings the binder to school Monday.
