My name is Victor Coronado and I am from New Mexico. I love both green and
red chili and sailing. I graduated from New Mexico State University with a
BA in secondary education / History and a minor in Spanish. Although I was
raised in the United States Spanish has always been the primary language
spoken in my home. My Father was born in Mexico but became a naturalized
citizen after WWWII. My Mother is of Spanish and Native American descent and
a an incredible weaver of rugs that can be found in several collections and
museums.
I have been teaching 19 years in the public schools. I began my teaching
career on the NM / Mexico border and then in the northern part of the state
of NM. I taught at the middle school level for 7 years on the Eastern
Shore. I have been with the Anne Arundel Public Schools for the last 5
years. I am proud to be a patriot!
I am also a veteran of the United States Military. I served in the Army and
was deployed to Saudia Arabia for Operation Desert Sheild / Storm. There I
earned the Bronze Star and returned home to complete my enlistment.
I love my job! Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions and
concerns.
