Thank you for all of your donations for the children's Thanksgiving Feast.
They really enjoyed it! Thank you especially to Mrs. Winemiller, Mrs. Smith,
Mrs. Walters, and Mrs. Lara for being in the room to help prepare and serve
the foor. They even took care of the clean up! What a blessing!

Please continue to lift our children and families up in prayer. Some of our
families are going through some very serious parental illnesses.
When we return from our Thanksgiving break we will be studying bB. At this
time we will begin to learn how the consonants pair with the short vowels to
form blends. Please refer to the Parent Helpful Hint paper which went home
last week for more information. We will experiment with adding consonants to
the blends as we learn them to form words. When we return your child's Home
Practice, please KEEP THE PAGES THAT ARE BLEND LADDERS. They will be a most
useful tool when you go over the sounds while doing oral skills practice at
home.
We are also beginning to work on reading with a purpose. We are exploring
how to read a story and figure out the "Who, what, where, when, why and how,"
of the story. This will sharpen comprehension skills. It will get the
children thinking in terms of sequencing a story. It will help them begin to
be able to create their own stories.
