I have been working with children for 25 years and hold a CDA
credential from University of Maryland. I am also working
toward a BA at CCBC and Towson University. Since 2000 I
started working here at Open Bible.
I have been married for 23 years and have two children. My daughter
graduated from Open Bible in 2006, and my son is a junior in high school.
My family now attends Grace Community Church in Kingsville.
I have been a Christian for more than 30 years. I believe that God holds me
accountable. Therefore, whatever I teach, must be pleasing to our Lord. I also
realize that I have a responsibility to instill Christian values in my lesson
plans and to model Christian behavior in my day to day interactions with
students, staff and parents.
There is so much that I want to teach my students. Most of all, I want to teach
them about God the Creator, designer of the universe, the son who sets us free
and the Holy Spirit who gives us strength and help in need.
I want each child to experience the love of our Lord, and I want them to learn to share
that love with others.
When teaching the curriculum, I want to make learning fun. I want them to look forward
to coming to school, and to build a positive attitude towards learning.
