Class Information

Supplies:
  • Spiral notebook for objectives and warm-ups
  • Looseleaf paper
  • Pencil or pen (blue or black ink)
  • Composition book for writing
 
Grading:
  • Product: 70%
    •    This category includes tests, quizzes, and tasks that show the student's mastery of content.
  • Process: 30%
    •  This category includes classwork, homework, and tasks students perform as part of the learning process.

 

Homework: 
   
   In addition to finishing classwork as needed and extension activities, students will complete 4 "My Own Reading"  assignments (MOR's) each quarter.  Two of these will be due prior to interms, and two will be due prior to the end of the marking period.
  • Students will be required to read 2 books each quarter within two years of their instructional level. One will be due prior to interims, and one will be due prior to the end of the marking period.
