I have been teaching for 28 years, all of those in Calvert County. I
graduated from Frostburg State College in 1979 with a Bachelor's
degree in English. I taught for 3 years at Northern High School ,
then 10 years at Southern Middle in Calvert County. I moved to Plum
Point Middle when it opened. This is truly a remarkable school.
I believe that reading is a lifetime activity. I want my students to
be able to read for pleasure as well as for information. I want them
to be able to communicate effectively in writing. I must also prepare
them for their educational futures.
