MR. SMITH
This is Mr. Smith's fourth year at Plum Point Middle as a Physical Education
and Health teacher. Mr. Smith earned a Bachelor's degree in Physical
Education (K-12) and a Master's degree in Health Education (K-12) from SUNY
Cortland. While at Cortland Mr. Smith also played on the Men's Club
volleyball team and was an assistant coach for the Women's Varsity volleyball
team. Mr. Smith is currently the girl's Varsity Volleyball Coach at Calvert
High School.
In his free time Mr. Smith enjoys being active, playing volleyball, riding
his motorcycle and outdoor activities.
MRS. MARTH
Mrs. Marth is in her seventh year of teaching physical education and health
at Plum Point Middle School. She earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in
Physical Education, Teacher Certification (K-12) from Salisbury University in
2000. Before coming to PPMS, Mrs. Marth taught physical education and health
at a Charles County middle school and a high school near Lynchburg,
Virginia. Mrs. Marth is originally from Charles County, Maryland where her
family is very involved in education. She is currently taking graduate
classes from McDaniel University to earn a Master's degree in Curriculum and
Instruction. She will graduate with her degree in the spring of 2012!
When Mrs. Marth is not busy with school, she enjoys spending time with her
energetic almost 5-year-old son and infant daughter! She also enjoys
exercising on her treadmill or elliptical bright and early in the a.m.!
