Homework

Wordly Wise - Wordly Wise Lesson 10. Complete Activities A - C by Friday, February 3 and complete Activities D - E by Friday, February 10. Please make sure students are budgeting their time appropriately so that are not trying to complete the entire lesson the night before. The Lesson 10 test will be given on February 10.

Writing - Persuasive Homework due on Friday, February 10. Bring an advertisement with you to class with your completed worksheet.

Spelling - "pro" words meaning forward. For example "progress" means to move forward with a project. Please have students select spelling words in the same "pro" family. The spelling packet is due February 17. Test will be also be given on February 17. Please have your student practice their personal words, as well as, the given list. Students are to complete at least 4 activities using their personal list.

Math - Math homework posted is for my math class only. If your student has difficulty completing an assignment, just initial the w/s and I will reteach the concept to your child the following day.

Math homework - Solving Fraction Word Problems worksheet dated 2/9 both sides. The Unit 3 math assessment is tentatively scheduled for February 23 and 24. FBI's (mulitplication/division drill) will be given on Wednesdays and quizzes will normally be given on Thursdays.

Reading

Grammar - A DOL quiz is given every Friday. Students should use their morning work as a study guide.

Students are to read 25 books during the school year. The books should be around 100 pages or more. Book reports are to be completed for each book read. Students should read approximately 6 books or 600 pages each quarter to meet their goal of 25 books.
