This will be my seveneighth year teaching in Montgomery County. Before
coming to Montgomery County, I taught 5th grade at Butterfield Elementary, a
performing arts magnet school in Southern California. While at Butterfield,
I was a literacy coach, member of the District Literacy Committee, co-
coordinator of the Gifted program at Butterfield,and member of the District
Gifted and Talented Committee. I received my Masters Degree from Azusa
Pacific University in education. Before going into education, I owned and
operated a gymnastics facility for several years (I mean several). When my
own children developed interests outside of the gym, I did too. Teaching
seemed like a natural transition.
My husband and I will be celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary this May.
My husband, Dale, is a microbiologist. We have three children: Catherine,
Daniel and Darryl.
Teaching is my passion and I look forward to an exciting and productive
year with your student.
