Hi! This is my fourth year teaching here at Rachel Carson Elementary School. Allow me to tell you a little bit more about myself...
Some of you may remember me as Ms. Wynn. Well, I recently got married to my wonderful husband on the most romantic day of the year, February 14, 2009! So now I am Mrs. King! :o)
I was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised there until I was 6. I then moved to Rockville, Maryland where I have been ever since. I attended Sequoyah Elementary, Redland Middle, and Magruder High where I graduated in 2001. I went on to graduate from The University of Maryland in College Park in 2005 with a degree in Elementary Education. Go Terps! I guess I just could not get enough of college, and went on to pursue my Masters degree. I graduated Spring of 2007 with a degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Langauges (ESOL). I also worked at Sylvan learning Center teaching students math, reading, study skills, and even SAT skills.
Personally, I love music, television, movies, sports, games, and monkeys (my favorite animal)! I also enjoy spending time withmy family and friends!
To me, teaching is one of the most noble professions ever! It is my passion and I love it! Thank you for allowing me to play a role in the lives of your children!
