I have been teaching in Howard County Public Schools since 1974, and an
Instructional Leader in Science since 1977. (Twenty-two years at Oakland
Mills High School and then in 1996, I opened River Hill High School.) Teaching
Chemistry is my "passion," however, I have been lucky enough to
teach some VERY talented students: 12 winners of Baltimore Science
Fair/International Science and Engineering Fair, 3 Siemens Westinghouse Talent
Search semi-finalists and 11 Intel Science Talent Search semi-finalists plus
as of this past year 1 finalist in the Intel Science Talent Search.
I will be teaching half time this year instructing in Advanced Placement
Chemistry and Math, Science and Technology Research. I, therefore, have
resigned the Instructional Leader in Science position. Ms. Terri Bradford can
assist you if help is needed.
