Before the Hawk, I was a fighting Blue Hen! In other words, I am a graduate
from the University of Delaware. I grew up not too far away in Montgomery
County where I attended Magruder High School. I was brought to
Howard County unexpectedly four years ago and do not regret my decision one
bit.
This will be my fifth year here at River Hill as a Biology teacher. I teach a
lot of 9th graders so I am also part of the 9th grade team. Outside of the
classroom I coach cross country and spring track and field. I am also the
class sponsor for the class of 2010! I enjoy working with students outside of
the classroom to help see a different side of them when the pressure isn't on
to study hard and pass tests!
I am especially excited this year as it will be my last known as Ms. Romano.
I am engaged to be married this June to another teacher in the building who
many of you may know as your weights teacher, class or 2011 sponsor or
wrestling coach, Mr. Lauer. So I am sure the year will fly by faster than
usual as I have a lot on my plate for the 2007-2008 school year!
