Mrs. Beamon earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Bowie
State University in May 1998. She earned her Master's degree in Teacher
Leadership: Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Maryland in
December 2003. This is her 12th year teaching and she loves it just as much
today as she did the day she set foot in the classroom. Mrs. Beamon has
taught in Kindergarten, second, third, and fifth grades. She grew up in
Bowie and is thrilled to be teaching in the community that provided her with
such a safe and nurturing environment. Mrs. Beamon is a technology and
creative arts fanatic! She actively supports arts and technology integration
in the curriculum and believes that these are an integral part of a well-
rounded education. Mrs. Beamon enjoys reading, traveling, crafting, attending
the theater, and spending time with family and friends. She lives happily in
Crofton with her husband, Doug, and their spoiled chocolate lab, Bandit.
