Spelling Contract is BELOW!!

SPELLING CONTRACT: You must equal 35 points by due date. The night before
the due date the homework will always be a parent given Pre-Test with signature.
You may only do each choice one time per week.
For example:
Monday night - Reverse ABC Order-- 10 pts
Tuesday night –Create a cartoon using 10 words- 10 pts
Wednesday night- Write words as Ladder Words 15 points
Total by Thursday morning 35 points
Thursday night – Pretest by adult with adult signature
10 Point Assignment Choices
Write your words 3 times in cursive
Write your words 3x each in 3 different colors
Make a word scramble and solve it using your words
Write an antonym for each word
Look up your words in the dictionary and write their meaning
Classify the words according to part of speech
Write a newspaper article using 10 or more of the words
Write a great story using at least 10 of your spelling words
Write newspaper headlines using your words
Make a word search with all of your words
Create a cartoon strip using at least 10 spelling word
Reverse ABC order
15 Point Assignment Choices
Cut the words out of magazines and newspapers and make a collage on
construction paper
Cut out a picture from a newspaper or a magazine and use spelling words to
write a story about the picture
write your words in a secret code (include the code legend)
Ladder Words – Write each spelling word as shown below:

Put 15 spelling words in sentences. (One word per sentence)
Write a letter to a friend using all of your spelling words
Type your spelling list four times on a computer, with each list typed in a
different font. Print it out.
Make 15 silly sentences ( In this one you choose a spelling word and each
letter in the sentence is the beginning of a word in the sentence. For example
for the word VILLAGE, you would write Vanessa In Lollipop Lane Ate Green Eggs.)
