I am always honored by college recommendation letter requests from my
students. To make it easier on all of us involved, I do have a few
suggestions. There is a checklist you can download from this site (Look at
the "APES Course Info" icon). Use it to be sure I have everything I need to
get your letters written and mailed or back to you.
Please allow at least three weeks for me to write your letter. I need
time to think about you, your performance in my class and go over your
information so I can write the best letter I can for you. I also have other
issues like teaching, my family and sleeping to attend to! I will keep an
electronic version of your recommendation and it can be easily modified in
case you want to send out more applications than in your original request.
This happens often, so don't be shy about asking. Just give me the names and
or addressed, stamped envelopes for the additional schools. Please allow me 5-
7 days for this.
I would strongly recommend you set up your recommendations on our
Naviancce system. This system provides a way to keep all the requests
organized and you can check in and see when they are all posted.
