This is my fourth year teaching at St. Bernadette Elementary School. I have
been working in the field of education for over twenty years. I have
worked in a variety of professional capacities including teaching,
curriculum development, fundraising, and program managment. I earned two
Master's degrees from New York University in the areas of Educational
Theatre and Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I also worked as an
adjunct professor for Mary Washington University and Fitchburg State College
supervising student teachers.
I have a son in Third Grade and a daughter in Sixth Grade. We enjoy
spending our time together hiking, visiting museums in Washington, D.C., and
going to local theater productions.
I believe that young children are full of excitement when they are learning
about God's world. It is so amazing to see their level of energy,
knowledge, natural curiosity, and love for learning. My goal for this year
is to provide the students with a caring and positive environment. I will
help guide each student to their full potential by creating hands-on
experiences for them. I feel that learning is best achieved through
concrete and experiential opportunities. The children in my classroom will
be given the chance to explore their environment and create meaningful
learning experiences throughout the year.
