May I send in a birthday snack?
Yes! Birthdays are very special in 1st grade. We will celebrate late June & July birthdays in January, & August birthdays in February as their 1/2 birthdays (Ex: July 22 will be celebrated January 22 as their 6 1/2 birthday) **The school does have a healthy snack policy. Homework will be due the following day. Fridays there is usually no homework unless a book report or research project has been assigned.Back to Top

How often do the children get book reports?
Every month the children will receive a story map. This is a fill in the blank book report which they will have one week to complete.Back to Top

What are the research projects?
The class will have two research projects. The first will be in mid-January as we learn about habitats. The children will make a shoebox diorama depicting an animal of their choice in its habitat. In April the children will write a report about a famous woman.Back to Top
