We have covered the following letters and sounds. You may want to
make flash cards for the letters. Please review them at home:

Please review telling time to the hour and half hour on an analog
and digital clock as well as recognizing the penny, nickel, dime, and
quarter. Both of these are more difficult abstract concepts. Also, please
practice ending sounds and rhyming words. Thanks for your reinforcement at
home!

The "Blue Book" or "Sound Book" is usually given for homework on
Monday. A red check will be at the top of the page of the letter/sound for
homework. Your child needs to cut out and glue at least 3 or 4 pictures
that make that BEGINNING SOUND. You or your child should write the name for
each picture. Please do not do any other letter or page that does not have a
red check. Also, do not tear out any blank pages or allow your child to
write on any blank pages, as we will use them later in the year.
Homework is also given on Tuesday. This is usually a practice
page--math, handwriting or phonics. Again, a red check will be in the top
righthand corner of any homework page. Please do BOTH sides and please have
your child use pencil unless otherwise indicated. Thank you!
