About The Teacher

My name is Mrs. Debbie Thomas and this is my 12th year of teaching at St.
Margaret School. Prior to St. Margaret, I taught at St. John's Lutheran
Nursery School in Baltimore County for 13 years. I've never left the area of
preschool in my teaching career because I enjoy it so much.I have my degree
in Early Childhood Education as well as my Masters in the same area.
Personally, I live in Bel Air with my husband and daughter Kim. She is
entering her junior year in college pursuing a major in golf management.
We also have two grown sons- Jeff who is married to Amy, living in Delta.
They have blessed us with our two grandchildren Morgan, who is three
years old and her brother Dillon (15 months). Our son Brian will be married a
year in October to his college sweetheart.
I am looking forward to working with your children (the M,W,F pre-3's and
pre-4's)this 2011/2012 school year.

Mission For The Class

I am looking forward to meeting all of you on the first day of school. We
will have so much fun this year in pre-4. We will learn about Jesus, sing
songs, read stories, write our names and many of our letters, learn our
numbers, cook, do many science and art activities, make new friends and see
our old friends as well. I promise you it will be a very busy year and keep
us going each and every day.

Our goal this year is to build a strong foundation in the Catholic faith
and strengthen old friendships while establishing new ones as well. Young
children can accomplish through developing good social and classroom skills.

Mission of St.Margaret School:
St. Margaret School is a parish school in the Archdiocese of baltimore
committed to providing each child with a strong foundation in the Catholic
faith, academics, and citizenship.

We accomplish this through a challenging disciplined environment focused on
nurturing individual development and characterized by Catholic beliefs and
values, academic excellence, parental involvement, and community service.

Our purpose is to inspire self-reliance, instill a positive sense of self-
worth, and prepare each child to face new challenges and appreciate the joys
of life.

School Theme:
This year our schoolwide theme centers around St. Francis of Assisi. We will
begin each trimester this year with: "God calls us"

God calls us....to be instruments of peace
God calls us ....to serve one another
God calls us....to care for God's creation

Throughout the school year, these three sub themes will be woven into
activities, outreach services, and so forth.
