Miss Rimkus

On Friday, February 10, we will celebrate 100 Days of School.  Please send in a collection of 100 items with your child on this day.  The collection should fit in a ziploc baggie.

On Monday, February 13, students may bring in quarters for a Haiti Bake Sale.  This sale is being sponsored by 2nd grade.

Students may exchange Valentines on Tuesday, February 14.  On this day, students should bring in Valentines for the 22 students in our class.  Please keep the envelopes blank so that a Valentine could go to any student in our class.

On Tuesday, February 14, students may pay $2 to wear sneakers, jeans and red and/or blue shirts.  This will benefit Haiti. 

Our next round of Book Orders will be due by 7am on Wednesday, February 15.

On Thursday, February 16, students may bring in quarters for a Haiti Bake Sale.  This sale is being sponsored by 3rd grade. 

Friday, February 17 will be designated "Red Friday" to honor Archbishop O'Brien becoming a Cardinal.  On this day, students may wear red ad-ons to the uniform.  These items could include red sweaters, sweatshirts (no hoodies), socks, bows, ribbons, nail polish, etc.  No hats please. 

School is closed on Monday, February 20 for Presidents' Day.

During the week of February 21, we will be collecting change for Haiti.  There will be a 1st grade jar in the gym when your child is dropped off in the morning, and then the jars will be displayed outside the office during the school day.  Please bring money in to place in the jars throughout the week.  The winning grade level will earn an out of uniform day on Friday, February 24.

On Friday, February 24, we will have a rice and beans lunch in our classroom during our normal lunch time.  Students who pay $3 are invited to participate in this lunch.  This benefits Haiti.

All Book-Its will be turned in on Wednesday, February 29.

Students will need a red t-shirt by Wednesday, February 29.  This shirt should be able to fit over the SMS uniform.  Taking a red shirt with print and turning it inside out works fine!
