NAME:
Mrs. Morelli
SCHOOL:
St. Martin's
CLASS:
Grades 5, 6, 7, 8 Social Studies and Grade 7 Language Arts
I graduated from Penn State University in 1995 with a B.S. in Education. In
December of 2005, I completed a Masters degree in Technology Integration
from Walden University. I have been teaching at St. Martin's since 1997.
In 2006, I received a Teacher of the Year award from the Catholic Schools
Office.
I enjoy acting, singing, and dancing. In 2003, I danced on the Tomorrowland
Stage in Disney World. In 2004, I went under-cover to act at the Spy
Museum. If you attended the Maryland Renaissance Festival in 2004, you may
have seen me dancing with the St. Cecilia Dance Troupe performing everything
from Irish step dancing to Ninja-style combat fighting! Although St.
Martin's keeps me very busy I occasionally find time to perform in or
choreograph musicals locally.
My mission as a middle school teacher is to empower my students with the
determination and confidence to be successful in achieving their personal
goals as well as contributing to the goals of their community. I will
encourage them to adopt habits of self-discipline, responsibility, and
ethics. I will set high expectations for academics, attitudes, and
behavior. Each day, I will model effective traits, treat students with
respect and compassion, and believe that all my students are capable of
greatness.
“Learning is the best of all wealth. It is easy to carry. Thieves cannot
steal it. Neither fire nor water can destroy it, and far from decreasing,
it increases with giving.”
